About Self Pace Pilates

Self Pace Pilates was created for people who’ve ever felt like fitness spaces weren’t built with them in mind.

If you’ve walked into a class and wondered whether you were doing it “right,” felt rushed to keep up, or quietly worried you didn’t belong — you’re not alone. And you’re exactly who this studio is for.

Based in Boronia, Self Pace Pilates offers a calm, supportive, home-based environment where personalised guidance, proper technique, and genuine care come first.

Meet Your Instructor

Hi, I’m Rain, the founder of Self Pace Pilates.

I created this studio for people who want to feel stronger and more confident in their body, without pressure, comparison, or the need to keep up.

My approach to Pilates is calm, form-focused, and deeply personalised. I take the time to get to know your body, your goals, and how you’re feeling on the day, so each session supports you, not a generic plan.

After navigating my own seasons of healing and burnout, I learned that slowing the pace doesn’t hold progress back — it deepens it. That philosophy sits at the heart of every session here.

You don’t need to be flexible, experienced, or “Pilates perfect.”
You just need a space where your pace is respected.

I’m really glad you’re here.

Why Self Pace Pilates Exists

Pilates entered my life during a time when slowing down wasn’t optional — it was necessary.

While Pilates itself was deeply supportive, finding the right kind of studio was challenging. Some classes felt too fast and intense. Others moved without purpose. Many focused on looking perfect rather than learning well.

What was missing was a middle ground.
A space that wasn’t loud or clinical.
Not rushed, but not passive.
Supportive, without pressure.

That missing space became the foundation of Self Pace Pilates.

Slowing the Pace Deepens Your Practice

At Self Pace Pilates, slowing down isn’t about doing less — it’s about doing things with intention.

When you move at a pace that suits your body:

  • Technique improves

  • Confidence builds

  • Strength develops safely

  • Progress becomes sustainable

That’s why any pace is perfect here. Your body leads. We listen. And progress follows naturally.

The Self Pace Approach

Every session is guided by the P.A.C.E. framework, a philosophy designed to support both physical progress and personal confidence.

P — Self Progression
We move forward thoughtfully, building strength and skill at a pace that feels right for you.

A — Self Acceptance
Your body doesn’t need fixing. We work with where you are — today.

C — Self Care
Pilates here supports your energy, recovery, and real life, not just your workout.

E — Self Empowerment
Understanding proper technique helps you feel confident, capable, and in control of your movement.

This approach keeps Pilates accessible, effective, and genuinely enjoyable.

What You Can Expect in a Session
